ONE ACCUSED EVADING TRIAL IN A CASE OF SNATCHING TURNED PROCLAIMED OFFENDER, AGAIN SENT BEHIND BARS – BY TEAM OF ANTI NARCOTICS CELL, CENTRAL DISTRICT.

• A PROCLAIMED OFFENDER ARRESTED BY TEAM OF ANTI NARCOTICS CELL, CENTRAL DISTRICT
• ACCUSED WAS ARRESTED ON THE BASIS OF LOCAL INFORMATION AND MANUAL SURVEILLANCE.
• ACCUSED WAS EVADING JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS TO DODGE PUNISHMENT.

A special drive against proclaimed offenders is being continuously carried out in the Central District. A dedicated team of police officials of the Anti-Narcotics Cell was constituted, which arrested one proclaimed offender, namely Sharafat.

TEAM & OPERATION:
A team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell, comprising ASI Sunil, HC Manish, HC Anuj, and HC Pradeep, was constituted under the supervision of Insp. Ashish Kumar Dubey and overall supervision of ACP Ops Sh. Subhash Malik, which successfully arrested a proclaimed offender, namely Sharafat.

The team continued to work on technical and manual information to trace the proclaimed offender Sharafat. The team visited the residence of the accused person, but he was not available. The team maintained close monitoring through technical surveillance, and information was also gathered from secret informers.

On July 25, 2025, secret information was received that the accused person Sharafat was present at his residence. The team from the Anti-Narcotics Cell immediately reached the spot, and on the informer’s instance, accused Sharafat r/o Gali No-9, Wazirabad, Delhi, Age-50, was apprehended from his residence.

Upon checking the records, it was found that accused Sharafat was declared a proclaimed offender in FIR No-402/2020, u/s 356/379/411/34 IPC, P.S. Safdarjung Enclave, Delhi, on 20/05/2025 by the Hon'ble Court of Ms. Nidhi Singh, JMFC /South Distt. /Saket Court, Delhi. Accordingly, the accused person was arrested.
