A NOTORIOUS AUTO-LIFTER ARRESTED, WITH THE HELP OF SMART MONITORING TOOL, WITH RECOVERY OF 01 STOLEN SCOOTY & 01 MOTORCYCLE BY THE TEAM OF ANTI AUTO THEFT SQUAD, DWARKA, DISTRICT.

•    THE ACCUSED USED THE STOLEN VEHICLES FOR JOY RIDING. 
•    03 CASES OF MV THEFT SOLVED WITH HIS ARREST.  
 

    INTRODUCTION: -

The team of Anti Auto Theft Squad, Dwarka District has done a commendable work by arresting a notorious auto lifter namely Rambabu S/o Rajender,  aged 35 years. Upon his instance, 01 stolen scooty & 01 motorcycle have been recovered and 03 cases have been solved successfully.

    TASKING & BRIEFING: -

To curb street crime in the area, the team of Anti Auto Theft Squad, Dwarka District was tasked by DCP Dwarka District. Accordingly, each and every spot of MVT incidents were visited by the team and CCTV footage of the spot as well as the route used by the culprits were followed by the team. CCTV footage of Smart Monitoring Tool was also analyzed by the team regularly. Traps were mounted at vulnerable areas and the modus operandi used by snatchers, robbers & auto lifters were briefed to the staff for prevention and detection in the area.

Accordingly, the staff initiated sincere efforts by sensitizing local informers and collecting human intelligence. They were also directed to keep a vigil over the Jail/Bail released as well as parole released criminals and thoroughly scan them if suspected to be involved in any type of criminal activities.  

    INFORMATION & ARREST: -

On 13.05.2025, the team of AATS, Dwarka District comprising SI Dinesh Kumar, HC Somdev, HC Ghanshyam, HC Rakesh, HC Rajbir led by Inspr Kamlesh Kumar - I/c AATS Dwarka under the supervision of Sh. Ramavtar, ACP Ops was deployed for patrolling in the area for prevention and detection of crime/auto thefts.

During patrolling, when they reached near a Mandir, Delhi, they spotted a person on a scooty coming from Tuda Mandi, Najafgarh without helmet.

On seeing the police staff, he tried to flee from the spot on his Scooty. However, the alert staff successfully intercepted and overpowered him. He was asked about his presence and documents of the scooty but he failed to give any satisfactory reply in this regard.

On verification, the recovered Scooty was found stolen. After that on the basis of CCTV footage, he was further interrogated and one more stolen motorcycle was recovered at the instance of the accused Ram Babu. He was arrested and the recovered stolen two wheelers were seized.

    PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON ARRESTED: -

Accused Rambabu S/o Rajender R/o Najafgarh, Delhi age 35 years.

He is a permanent resident of District, Sitamadhi, Bihar. He was doing work as carpenter in furniture Shop situated at Bangalore. Recently he shifted at Delhi, where he was trying for job but failed.

To fulfill his financial requirements, he indulged in the crime with one Ravi, who is absconding.

2.    e-FIR No. 012793/25, U/s 305(b) BNS, PS Najafgarh.
3.    e-FIR No. 013136/25, U/s 305(b) BNS, PS Dwarka North (CCTV footage available yet to be recovered)

    RECOVERY: -

1.    One stolen Scooty.
2.    ⁠One Stolen Motorcycle.

Further investigation is going on.
