NEW DELHI DISTRICT POLICE NAB THREE HABITUAL OFFENDERS
DRUGS, ILLEGAL WEAPON, AND STOLEN SCOOTY RECOVERED


    In a series of operations, New Delhi District Police have apprehended several notorious habitual offenders. These arrests have led to the recovery of illegal drugs, a stolen vehicle, and a button-actuated knife. These efforts highlight the ongoing commitment of the New Delhi District Police to maintaining law and order and ensuring public safety.


OPERATION 1:

Chanakya Puri Police Station apprehends notorious Habitual Offender, 12.22 grams Smack recovered

    On 18.06.2025, the beat staff of Sanjay Camp, Chanakya Puri Police Station were on patrol when they received confidential information regarding one Mohd. Hakim’s involvement in selling smack. Responding swiftly, the team located and apprehended Mohd. Hakim @ Boka from Sanjay Camp, Chanakya Puri, New Delhi. A thorough search resulted in the recovery of 12.22 grams of smack from his possession. The accused is previously involved in 15 criminal cases across various police stations in Delhi. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 73/2025, dated 18.06.2025, under section 21 NDPS Act, has been registered at Chanakya Puri Police Station and further investigation into the matter is ongoing.


OPERATION 2:

North Avenue Police Station apprehends Habitual Offender, stolen scooty recovered

    On the intervening night of 18/19.06.2025, while patrolling the North Avenue Police Station area, SI L. Kipgen and Ct Manoj observed a suspicious person riding a Scooty, who appeared to be looking for opportunities to commit a crime.

    The police officers stopped the suspect, who identified himself as Tara Singh. When questioned, he was unable to provide any documentation for the Scooty. A subsequent background check revealed that Tara Singh is a habitual offender, with eight previous involvements in theft, snatching, and robbery cases in the Mandir Marg and Connaught Place areas of New Delhi. He has also been booked three times under preventive action. Further investigation confirmed that the Scooty was reported stolen from the D.B.G. Road Police Station vide E-FIR No. 015461/25, dated 03.06.2025, under section 305(b) BNS. The accused has been arrested under Section 35(1)(e) BNSS, and the D.B.G. Road Police Station has been notified of the arrest and the recovery of the stolen Scooty.


OPERATION 3:

Mandir Marg Police Station apprehends Criminal with Illegal Weapon

    On 19.06.2025, at approximately 6:45 PM, patrolling officers of Mandir Marg Police Station stopped a suspect on Mandir Lane, Mandir Marg, New Delhi. Upon enquiry, the suspect revealed himself as one Vikas @ Vikko. On search of the suspect, a button-actuated knife was recovered from his possession. He later confessed to being in the area with the intention of committing a robbery using the illegal weapon.

    Accordingly, case vide FIR No. 67/2025, dated 19.06.2025, under section 25 Arms Act, has been registered at Mandir Marg Police Station. Vikas @ Vikko hails from Jhandewalan Extension, Paharganj, Delhi and is previously involved in two cases. Further investigation of the case is underway.
