Murder of girl in hotel room- accused arrested by Nabi Karim team within 2 hours of information

on 08.06.2025 at 09:47 AM, a PCR call was received at PS Nabi Karim, wherein the caller, a staff member of Hotel, Arakashan Road, Paharganj, Delhi, informed that a couple had stayed overnight in Room . In the morning, the male was found missing, while the female occupant was found lying dead in the bathroom.

Upon reaching the spot, preliminary enquiry revealed that the couple had checked in on 07.06.2025 at 04:15 PM. The male individual was last seen leaving the hotel premises alone in morning. Subsequently, the hotel staff discovered the female occupant lying dead in the bathroom and informed the police.

preliminary findings suggest strangulation using a drawstring. It was also revealed during enquiry that the couple had ordered pizza and lassi around 6:00 PM on 07.06.2025, which was served to their room by the hotel staff.

As per the identification documents submitted at the hotel reception, the couple was identified as:

Male: Sachin 31 as per ID

Female: Sarika 29 as per ID

The crime team was called to the scene and conducted a thorough inspection. Photographs were taken, and relevant exhibits were seized from the spot. The dead body has been taken into custody and preserved at the mortuary for postmortem examination to ascertain the exact cause of death.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 103/2025 under Section 103(1), BNS is being registered at PS Nabi Karim. Investigation has been taken up. Accused Sachin was apprehended. On interrogation he stated he had a relationship with the girl and suspected her of having another affair. There was a quarrel regarding this when they met and he first beat her and then strangulated her to death.
