Miss World contestants
The Miss World contestants, visited at the over 800 years old historic Ramappa Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage site, in traditional attire.
Miss World 2025 contestants were embracing in Telangana Handloom Sarees.. showcasing Telangana's rich heritage at Ramappa Temple, in Mulugu district.
They were welcomed by tribal traditional Kommu Koya dances.
All the contestants entered the Ramappa temple after washing their feet and offered special prayers at the Temple.
The Miss World contestants immersed themselves in the timeless beauty of Telangana's heritage, adorned in traditional attire as they explored the architectural marvel of 'Thousand Pillar temple' embracing its cultural grandeur and spiritual charm.
The 72nd Miss World contestants washed their feet before entering the temple, participated in local cutom - whispering their wishes into Nandi’s ear as a gesture of respect and cultural engagement during their visit to the "Thousand Pillar Temple" (built in 12th century) in Hanamkonda.
They offered special prayers to Lord Shiva in the temple, chanted "Om Namah Shivay" and the priests offered them Prasadam.
The 72nd Miss World contestants participated in Indian custom - whispering their wishes into Nandi's (vahan of Lord Shiva) ear and seeking blessings during their visit to the "1000 PillarTemple", in Hanamkonda, Telangana.
The Miss World contestants participated as a gesture of respect and cultural engagement during their "Thousand Pillar Temple" visit.
In Indian tradition, especially at the Lord Shiva temples with Nandi statues (the sacred bull and vahan of Lord Shiva), there is a popular belief that: “If you whisper your wishes into Nandi’s ear, he will convey them directly to Lord Shiva.”
This belief has led to a beautiful ritual where devotees lean close to Nandi and quietly share their prayers or wishes.
