MAJOR SUCCESS BY CRIME BRANCH: RECEIVER OF STOLEN PROPERTY ARRESTED WITH SIGNIFICANT RECOVERY 
•    7 Snatched/Stolen Mobile Phones Recovered 
•    The Accused Has Previous Involvement in 3 Criminal Cases 

OPERATION DETAILS: 
In a significant breakthrough, the Eastern Range–I of the Crime Branch, Delhi Police, apprehended a criminal actively involved in the receipt and disposal of stolen/snatched mobile phones. 
A team led by Inspector Gurmeet Singh was assigned the task of apprehending the accused involved in a series of thefts and snatchings. The team included SI Sanjay Tyagi, SI Governor Singh, ASI Ajay Chauhan, ASI Vinay Tyagi, HC Mahatap Singh, HC Mohit Kumar, HC Ray Singh, HC Tarun, HC Ajay Singh, and Ct Deepak, under the close supervision of ACP Shri Yashpal Singh (ER-I). Utilizing both human intelligence and technical surveillance, the suspect was identified as Mannu Kumar @ Abhimanyu. 
Specific intelligence was received indicating that Mannu Kumar @ Abhimanyu would arrive in Lahori Gate, Delhi, intending to dispose of stolen/snatched mobile phones. The accused was intercepted at the spot. He was positively identified by the informer, and the team swiftly apprehended him. Upon his search and subsequent interrogation, 7 stolen/snatched mobile phones were recovered from his possession. 
The recovered mobile phones were traced to their rightful owners and linked to FIRs already registered at Police Stations Seelampur and Sarai Rohilla. The devices were seized, and further efforts are being made to establish additional linkages. 
ARRESTED ACCUSED: 
Mannu Kumar @ Abhimanyu s/o Late Sh. Jaldhari Prasad Gupta r/o Lahori Gate, Delhi, Age 30 years — Receiver of stolen property 
RECOVERIES: 
    1.     Seven Mobile Phones

2.    e-FIR No 70010469/2025, Dt. 24.05.2025, u/s 303(2) BNS PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi 
3.    NCR No 2828098/2025  
PROFILE AND INTERROGATION OF THE ACCUSED: 
During interrogation, Mannu Kumar @ Abhimanyu revealed that he was previously involved in the sale of illegal liquor. He stated that he had studied up to Class 12 and was addicted to alcohol. In 2017, he was jailed for the first time in connection with a case related to the illegal liquor trade. In pursuit of quick money, he began purchasing stolen and snatched mobile phones from various pickpockets and snatchers. He would then sell these phones to Pramod @ Padwa, a BC of PS Lahori Gate.

INTERROGATION OUTCOME: 
The Crime Branch has successfully dismantled a snatching and stolen mobile phones distribution racket operating across multiple districts of Delhi. The operation not only led to the arrest of one habitual offender but also to the recovery of 7 high-end mobile phones.
