Om Parkash of AATS/NWD and SI Neeraj, SI Chetan, ASI Yamin, HC Dhirendra, HC Deepak, HC Prithvi, and HC Rajkumar of PS Model Town. The team functioned under the leadership of Insp. During the course of investigation, the team conducted an extensive analysis of CCTV footages from the vicinity of the crime scene. HC Paramjeet and Ct Shubham played a crucial role in examining the footage. In the visuals retrieved from a CCTV camera installed at the complainant’s residence, it was observed that Arun Kumar, along with an unidentified person, was seen leaving the house carrying one bag and one trolley bag.

The team carried out multiple search operations at different states for the accused and their associates in their native villages falling under the jurisdiction of PS Katoriya, PS Bandhua Kurwa, and PS Bonsi in Bihar. Local residents, family members of the accused, and their known associates were thoroughly examined during the investigation.

On 10.07.2025, acting on a tip-off received from a local informer, a raid was conducted in district Banka, Bihar. After sustained efforts, the team successfully apprehended three accused individuals- (1) Vivek Kumar, S/o Ramesh Yadav, R/o Village Lalmathiya, Banka, Bihar, Age-22 Years (2) Birender Yadav, S/o Sukhdev Yadav, R/o Village Siholiya, Banka, Bihar, Age-22 Years and (3) Piyush Kumar Kapri, S/o Tikadhar Kapri R/o Village Merha, Banka, Bihar, Age-29 Years from the forest area of Village Budhighat, Banka, Bihar, while they were in the process of distributing the stolen cash and jewelry. INTERROGATION: -

During sustained interrogation, all the arrested accused confessed their involvement in the present case, along with that of their associates. The investigation revealed that Arun Kumar, in connivance with five others—Birendra, Krishna, Ajay Yadav, Mahesh Tanti (all from his native village), and Vivek (from Village Lalmathiya)—executed a well-planned theft of cash and jewelry from the complainant’s residence. While escaping, Birendra handed over the stolen cash and jewelry to his friend Dilip Yadav at Bonsi, who retained Rs. 17.5 lacs. Dilip subsequently gave Rs. 5 lacs to Rajesh (elder brother of Krishna) and passed the remaining amount and jewelry to Malti Yadav at Village Sathiyari. Malti later handed it over to Kishtu Yadav at Village Barasan, who further transferred it to Pawan Yadav. Pawan transported the stolen items to Sandeep Yadav at Village Radha Nagar, where both kept a portion for themselves. Later, Naveen Yadav also took Rs. 5 lacs from the same.

All the accused were found to be first-time offenders. Their involvement in the crime appears to have been motivated by the desire to earn easy money.
