INTERSTATE SYNDICATE INDULGED IN SUPPLY OF ILLEGAL FIREARMS BUSTED BY THE TEAM OF ANTI-NARCOTICS CELL, NORTH DISTRICT

    AFTER A MONTH LONG OPERATION, SIX DREADED CRIMINALS INCLUDING TWO CCLs WERE NABBED 
    13 COUNTRY MADE PISTOLS, 01 SEMI AUTOMATIC PISTOL AND 18 LIVE CARTRIDGES WERE RECOVERED
    ONE SCOOTY USED IN SUPPLY OF ILLEGAL ARMS & AMMUNITION ALSO RECOVERED

INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
While continuing drive against the arm suppliers active in Delhi, the team of Anti-Narcotics Cell, North District had deployed various sources and had been developing information in the area of North District, Delhi.

A team under the leadership of I/C SI Jagbir Khatri, comprising SI Hanspreet Singh, SI Naresh, ASI Shri Dhar, ASI Satyavir Singh, HC Vijay, HC Naresh, HC Rahul, HC Saurav, HC Ajay, Ct. Deepanshu, Ct. Dharmender and Ct. Dinesh under the overall supervision of ACP/Operations Sh. Ratan Pal, was continuously working to collect information about Arms suppliers.

The diligent and enthusiastic efforts of police team paid dividends and on the intervening night of 31.05.2025 and 01.06.2025, a secret information was received at Anti-Narcotics Cell, North District that a person namely Mohd. Bilal, indulged in supply of illegal weapons, was going to supply illegal firearms near Faridabad Bus Stand, Kashmere Gate, Delhi. Acting upon this information, SI Naresh without wasting any time, constituted a raiding team and laid a trap near Faridabad Bus Stand, Kashmere Gate and at the instance of secret informer, apprehended a person identified as Mohd. Bilal aged 19 years r/o Rajiv Nagar, Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi. On his personal search, 04 country made pistols and 08 live cartridges were recovered. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 435/25 dated 01.06.2025 u/s 25 Arms Act was registered at PS Kashmere Gate, Delhi and the investigation was taken up.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION    
During sustained interrogation, accused Mohd. Bilal disclosed that he is indulged in supply of illegal weapons since long time and he had already supplied several pistols in the area of Bhalswa Dairy and Mukundpur, Delhi. He further disclosed that he had procured illegal weapons from one Harun and one Ajim, resident of Aligarh, UP. On the basis of his disclosure and at his instance, on 01.06.2025, several raids were conducted in the area of Bhalswa Dairy and Mukundpur, (1) one CCL was apprehended along with recovery of 01 country made pistol + 02 live cartridges from Bhalaswa Dairy; (2) one Gaurav Kumar Jhawas was arrested from Mukundpur, Delhi along with recovery of 02 country made pistols + 04 live cartridges.

Further, on 04.06.2025, at the instance of accused Mohd. Bilal, main supplier of illegal firearms namely Azim was arrested from Aligarh, UP along with recovery of one sophisticated pistol, one country made pistol and 04 live cartridges. The arrested accused persons were thoroughly interrogated and on 12.06.2025, another accused namely Bharat Kumar @ Bhanu was arrested and 04 country made pistols were recovered from his possession. During further investigation and as per the facts revealed by the arrested accused persons in their disclosure statements, on 28.06.25, one CCL was apprehended along with the recovery of one country made pistol. This operation continued for about one month for the arrest of accused persons and recovery of illegal firearms.

Technical surveillance and local intelligence are being built up, various call detail records, as well as inputs of the close ones of accused and the persons who were acquainted with the facts are being enquired by the team to nab other accused persons and to bust the complete forward and backward linkage of Illegal Arms Syndicate.

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON
1.    Accused Mohd. Bilal aged 19 years s/o Mohd. Rashid r/o Rajiv Nagar Bhalswa Dairy, Delhi. He has one previous involvement in a hurt case of PS Bhalswa Dairy. He came in touch with Arms Suppliers Azim and Harun and started supplying the illegal weapons to the active gang member of Delhi.
2.    Accused Gaurav Kumar Jha aged 23 years s/o Dheeraj Kumar Jha r/o Samta Vihar Mukundpur Part-2, Delhi is friend of Mohd. Bilal. He purchased weapons from Bilal and supplied the same to the active member of various gangs of Delhi.
3.    Azim aged 24 years s/o Shahbuddin r/o Kela Nagar, New Basti, PS Kuarshi, Aligarh, UP is the main supplier of illegal firearms. 
4.    Bharat Kumar aged 28 years s/o Ramesh Kumar r/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi is friend of Mohd. Bilal. He purchased weapons from Bilal and supplied the same to the active member of various gangs of Delhi.
5.    Two desperate CCLs have also been apprehended in the present case. They have been actively involved in the illegal supply of firearms to the various gang members in Delhi.

 
RECOVERY
1.    13 country made pistols of .315 bore.
2.    01 sophisticated pistol.
3.    18 live cartridges of 8 MM.
4.    One scooty bearing No. DL8SCV1808 used in the supply of firearms.
