Govt. Job Exam Cheating Racket Busted: Dummy Candidate, Two Staff of the Same School including a Teacher, and Woman Nabbed by Greater Kailash Police, SOUTH DISTRICT

•    THE EXAM WAS HELD FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR SECRETARIAT ATTENDANT IN JAWAHAR NAVODAYA VIDYALAY SAMITI CONDUCTED BY C.B.S.E.

•    ACCUSED SUMIT DAHIYA WAS PROMISED ₹6 LAKH TO APPEAR AS DUMMY CANDIDATE IN THE EXAM ON BEHALF OF THE ACTUAL CANDIDATE ANKUR.

•    MR. BIMAL KUMAR SINGH (TEACHER), BALJEET SINGH (OFFICE SUPERINTENDENT) AT THE SCHOOL AND A LADY FACILITATED SUMIT’S ENTRY INTO THE EXAM CENTER.

    
INTRODUCTION:-

    The staff of Police Station Greater Kailash, South District has done a commendable work by arresting a cheat/exam solver Sumit Dahiya (dummy candidate), 03 accused persons namely Bimal Kumar Singh (Teacher at the School) and Baljeet Singh (Office Superintendent at the School) including a lady in case FIR No. 228/25, u/s 319(2)/318(2)/61(2) B.N.S, PS Greater Kailash.

BRIEF FACTS & OPERATION:-

On 18/05/2025, information regarding impersonation of a candidate in exam of non-teaching staff of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (a Government job) conducted by CBSE at the examination center in a Private School at Hemkunt Colony, Greater Kailash-I, Delhi was received. The police staff already on patrolling duty reached the spot where the Principal of the School informed about an incident of impersonation. Upon verification, it was found that a candidate named Ankur had sent a dummy candidate, Sumit Dahiya to appear in the examination on his behalf.    Based on the complaint, a case vide FIR No. 228/25 under sections 319(2)/318(2)/61(2) of the B.N.S. was registered at Police Station Greater Kailash and investigation was taken up. The accused Sumit Dahiya was taken into police custody. 
To investigate the matter further, a team comprising SI Sandeep Kumar, ASI Kamlesh, HC Gopal & Ct. Dinesh led by SHO/G.K., under the overall supervision of Sh. Dinesh Sharma, ACP/C.R. Park, Sub Division was formed. 
During interrogation, the accused Sumit Dahiya was questioned and upon his instance, Bimal Kumar Singh (A teacher at the same School) and Baljeet Singh (Office Superintendent in the same School) and the lady were also apprehended who facilitated his entry in the School for appearing in the Examination.

INTERROGATION & DISCLOSURE:-
    During interrogation, the accused, Sumit Dahiya, disclosed that one middleman had orchestrated the impersonation plan and promised to pay him Rs. 6 lakhs for appearing as a dummy candidate in place of the original candidate, Ankur, in the examination for the post of Junior Secretariat Attendant under Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (a Government job). Sumit further revealed that he contacted a woman known to him— who had liaison the with school and convinced her to pay Rs. 2 lakhs to facilitate his smooth entry into the examination centre, a Private School, New Delhi. Subsequently, the lady introduced Sumit Dahiya (the dummy candidate) to Bimal Kumar Singh, a teacher at the same school, and Baljeet Singh, the office superintendent of same school. Each of them was paid Rs. 50,000 to ensure his unhindered entry into the school for the purpose of impersonation during the examination.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSONS APPREHENDED: -

1.)    Sumit Dahiya S/o Jagbir Singh R/o Village Gopalpur, District Sonipat, Haryana. Age 29 years. He appeared in the exam on behalf of Ankur. He is 12th Pass and preparing for competitive exams for government jobs.

2.)    A lady r/o Majra, Kanjhwala, Delhi, age- 40 Yrs. She used to get the National Open School form filled for the Class 10th  & 12th students and having liaison with the school staff as she arranged the Examinations of NIOS. She got an offer for Rs. 2 Lakhs from accused Sumit Dahiya (known to her) for facilitating his entry as a dummy candidate in the said Examination. Accordingly, she contacted with Bimal Kumar Singh (Teacher) and Baljeet Singh (Office superintendent) in the same School.  As per plan, she alongwith Bimal Kumar Singh and Baljeet Singh facilitated the entry of dummy candidate Sumit Dahiya in the Examination Centre.

3.)    Bimal Kumar Singh S/o Kuldeep Narayan Singh R/o Savitri Nagar, Delhi, Age 59 Yrs. He is a physics Teacher at the Private School (Examination Centre), Hemkunt Colony, New Delhi.

4.)    Baljeet Singh S/o Jaswant Singh R/o DDA flats, Garhi East of Kailash, New Delhi. Age-50 Yrs. He is office Superintendent at the Private School (Examination Centre), Hemkunt Colony, New Delhi.

RECOVERY:

1.)    Original Aadhar card of accused Ankur which was used by accused Sumit Dahiya to enter the Examination Center.
2.)    Original Admit Card of accused Ankur which was used by accused Sumit Dahiya to enter the Examination Center and to take Examination.
3.)    Original OMR sheet in which the accused Sumit Dahiya responded/answered the questions.

Efforts are being made to nab the accused Ankur and middleman. Further investigation is under progress. The staff involved in good work is being suitably rewarded.
