•    PROACTIVE PATROLLING BY THE TEAM OF PS SARAI ROHILLA LED TO NABBING TWO BURGLARS.
•    BOTH ACCUSED HAVE PREVIOUS CRIMINAL INVOLVEMENTS IN BURGULARY, HOUSE THEFT AND HURT CASES OF DIFFERENT POLICE STATIONS OF DELHI. 
•    PROCLAIMED OFFENDER PROCEEDINGS AGAINST ACCUSED SARFARAZ IN TWO BURGLARY CASES OF PS SARAI ROHILLA IS UNDER PROCESS.

INTRODUCTION:
In order to control street crimes like pick-pocketing, snatching, and robbery as well as to keep watch over the illegal activities of individuals indulging in organized crime, a dedicated police team comprising ASI Rajvardhan Singh, HC Sunil and HC Ravinder, under the close supervision of Inspr. Vikas Rana, SHO/PS Sarai Rohilla and guidance of Shri Sushil Kumar, officiating ACP/Sub-Division, Sarai Rohilla, Delhi was working relentlessly. Accordingly, the team used to conduct random picket checking during odd hours to surprise the criminals.

INCIDENT & OPERATION: 
On the night of 02.07.2025, above said police team of PS Sarai Rohilla was performing night patrolling in the area. At about 03:30 AM, they reached in Shastri Nagar where they noticed two persons carrying a LED TV coming from Nimri Colony side, who on seeing the police team tried to flee in speedy steps by leaving the TV at the spot. The police team instantly sprang into the action and succeeded to apprehend both of them. Both were found in drunken condition and on enquiry, they failed to give proper reply about the LED TV having in their possession. Both suspects were identified as Sarfraj, age 31 years and Sajmul, age 36 years and they were brought to PS Sarai Rohilla.

During further verification from the police station records, no such information regarding theft of LED TV was received at PS Sarai Rohilla. However, in the morning of 02.07.25, an online FIR vide No. 80062254/25 dated 02.07.25 u/s 305/331(4) BNS was received at PS Sarai Rohilla in which complainant Bihari Lal r/o Shastri Nagar, Delhi reported that he runs property dealer office in Nimri Colony. On the late evening of 01.07.25, he has closed his office and in the next morning, when his son opened the office, a LED TV was found stolen from his office by breaking the lock. Subsequently, he got registered the above online e-FIR. Further investigation was taken up.    

INTERROGATION:
During the course of sustained interrogation, the accused persons Sarfraj, age 31 years and Sajmul, age 36 years disclosed that they had stolen the LED TV from an office/shop situated in Nimri Colony, Shastri Nagar in the midnight of 01/02.07.2025 by breaking the lock of shop with the help of a screw driver which they hurled in the bushes just after commission of offence. Thereafter, they were on the way towards their rented house in Bapa Nagar but they were nabbed by the alert police team in drunken condition. Further efforts were made by the police team to recover the house breaking tools but the accused persons could not disclose the exact location where they had thrown these tools.

It also revealed that both the accused persons are habitual criminals. The accused Sarfraj was found involved in 02 cases of Burglary of PS Sarai Rohilla and the proceedings of proclaimed offender in both the cases are under progress. Accused Sajmul was also found involved in 02 cases of House Theft and Hurt of Police Stations Patel Nagar and Prasad Nagar of Central District.

Both the accused persons belong to District Katihar, Bihar and live in the area of Bapa Nagar on rent basis. They are school dropout and work as labourers to earn their livelihood, but due to their ill habits of consuming liquor/drugs, they got indulged in committing crimes for making easy money and to fund their need for drugs.                

    Further investigation is under progress.

1.    Sarfraj, r/o Karol Bagh, Delhi, age 31 years & Permanent resident of District Katihar, Bihar. (Previously he was found involved in 02 cases of Burglary of PS Sarai Rohilla, Delhi).

2.    Sajmul, r/o Karol Bagh, Delhi, age 36 years & Permanent resident of District Katihar, Bihar. (Previously he was found involved in two cases of House Theft and Hurt registered in Police Stations Prasad Nagar and Patel Nagar, Delhi).  

RECOVERY: 
•    One LED TV, make Redmi.
