INCIDENT:
On 11.05.2025, an online e-FIR No. 013067/25 u/s 305(b) BNS was registered at PS Sadar Bazar, Delhi by complainant Mohd. Monazir Hussain, r/o New Anaj Mandi, Filmistan, Delhi, regarding theft of his Scooty which he had parked outside Filmistan Cinema on late evening of 09.05.2025 and in the morning of 10.05.2025, the scooty was found missing.

TEAM, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
A team led by SI Akash Deep (I/C PP Ahata-Kidara), comprising HC Rohit, HC Pardeep Kumar and Ct Ramesh was constituted, under the close supervision of Inspr. Sahdev Singh Tomar, SHO/PS Sadar Bazar and guidance of Shri Shankar Banerjee officiating ACP/Sub-Division, Sadar Bazar, Delhi.

During investigation, the team meticulously examined the footage of CCTV cameras installed nearby place of occurrence and after detailed analysis, the team zeroed in one suspicious person, who had stolen the above scooty. Further, intensive search operation was carried out by mounting technical surveillance and human intelligence. The extracted photographs of the accused person were shared with the police personnel of PP Ahata-kidara, PS Sadar Bazar. The dedicated police team continued their sincere efforts in search of the accused person.      

On 19.05.2025, a strong picket was put at LR Centre, Sadar Bazar for vehicle checking. At about 07:00 PM, during vehicle checking, the picket staff stopped a person driving Activa scooty having same registration number. The rider tried to escape but the alert picket staff overpowered him along-with the Scooty. During questioning, he disclosed that he had stolen this scooty from near Filmistan on the midnight of 10.05.2025. Accordingly, the accused identified as Kashif @ Ghoda, age 30 years was arrested in above said case of MVT and further investigation was taken up.

INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, he disclosed that he had stolen the scooty by using master key for committing the offences like snatching, theft and pick-pocketing etc. In the evening of 19.05.2025, he was roaming nearby the area of LR Centre, Sadar Bazar on the stolen scooty and was in search of a soft target for committing crime. But the alert police team apprehended him with the stolen scooty.

He is illiterate and used to drive E-Rickshaw on rent basis, but due to his bad habits of consuming drugs, he was not satisfied with his earnings. So, he indulged in committing crime to fund his needs for drugs and to earn easy money.      

PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON:
Kashif @ Ghoda, r/o (1) N-Block, Sunder Nagri, Nand Nagri, Delhi and (2) Thela Wali Gali, Bara Hindu Rao, age 30 years. (Previously he was involved in 03 cases of Theft/Pick-pocketing of Police Stations Sonia Vihar and Sadar Bazar, Delhi. He was committing crime since last 13 years).
