DUO OF CCLs ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN MOTORCYCLE THEFTS APPREHENDED FROM RAJASTHAN BY THE STAFF OF PS SANGAM VIHAR, SOUTH DISTRICT.

11 STOLEN MOTORCYCLES RECOVERED FROM RAJASTHAN.
11 MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT CASES SOLVED.

INTRODUCTION:-

    In a significant breakthrough, the staff of PS Sangam Vihar, South District has done commendable work by apprehending 02 CCLs auto lifters actively involved in motorcycle theft cases U/s 305(B)/317(2) B.N.S. dated 05.5.25 at PS Sangam Vihar. Upon their instance, 11 stolen motorcycle were recovered and 11 cases of M.V. theft worked out successfully.
 

BRIEFING OF THE STAFF:-
    In order to curb the cases of auto-lifting and robbery etc., the beat and patrolling staff is being regularly briefed to adopt the technique of ROKO-TOKO and to detect suspicious vehicles during patrolling in the area as per the crime trend. Consequently, the staff focused on some recent incidents of auto-lifting and they used to conduct intensive patrolling even during odd hours in order to nab the culprits involved in street crime.

TEAM, OPERATION & APPREHENSION:

Accordingly, a team comprising SI Rajak Ahamed, HC Hemraj, Ct. Mohan, Ct. Vikram, Ct. Chetan, Ct. Sitaram led by SHO/Sangam Vihar was formed to develop important clues about the active auto lifters in the area and to unveil the mystery behind the theft of two wheelers. In-depth strategy was chalked out to find the accused person(s) who used to commit theft. The team visited the various crime spots in the area and collected CCTV footages and meticulously analyzed the same. As per the data analytics, the team members laid traps in the auto-theft prone areas. During the analysis of CCTV footages of multiple spots 05 persons were noticed committing auto-lifting in different areas. Accordingly, the photos of the suspects were developed through technical apparatus and circulated within police net to get their identities. List of jail/bail released criminals and dossiers of BC, budding criminals were also matched with the description of the suspect. Apart from this, the team geared up their manual information network and mounted technical surveillance as well. In furtherance of this, the team followed the reverse route and reached at a house. The owner of the house shown the video of alleged persons while committing crime who disclosed that they are known to him and identified them. Further based upon the manual and local intelligence, location of the 02 alleged persons was zeroed down at Rajakhera, Rajasthan.  Raids were conducted and the 02 CCLs were apprehended. Upon their instance, 11 motorcycles were recovered at their village. They confessed to multiple vehicle thefts in the areas of Sangam Vihar, Saket, Sarita Vihar, and Sunlight Colony.  During interrogation, they disclosed that their associate used to break the lock of the motorcycles and they took the motorcycle to Rajasthan by riding. Further efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other associates and receivers of stolen property.
