“02 DESPERATE CRIMINALS NABBED RED-HANDED BY STAFF OF PS ADARSH NAGAR.”

    SNATCHED MOBILE PHONE OF COMPLAINANT RECOVERED.
    BOTH ACCUSED FOUND TO BE HABITUAL CRIMINALS WITH PAST INVOLVEMENT IN THEFT AND RAPE CASES.
    THEY STARTED COMMITTING CRIME TO EARN EASY MONEY.

With the arrest of 02 criminals snatchers namely, (1) Sajid @ Aftab S/o Hajrat Ali R/o H-2 Jhangir Puri Delhi Age 24 years & (2) Sonu @ Kabir S/o Manjor R/o C-213 Jahangir Puri Delhi Age- 24 years Delhi, staff of PS Adarsh Nagar solved 01 case snatching case & recovered mobile phone of complainant. The swift action and timely response by the police team not only led to the recovery of stolen property but also prevented the accused from targeting more innocent citizens.

Brief Facts & Incident Details:-
Acting proactively in order to curb crime and criminals in the area, staff was deployed for intensive patrolling in the area. On 19.06.2025, during routine patrol duty in the jurisdiction of PS Adarsh Nagar, HC Deepak No. 749/NW along with HC Mohit No. 1588/NW and HC Ankit No. 1656/NW reached Azadpur Mandi Bus Stand, where a person namely Rohit Kumar S/o Rajesh R/o Village Maurkhi Ambai Charwa, P.O. Amba, P.S. Alauli, Distt. Khagaria, Bihar, approached them in distress. He reported that while he was standing at the bus stand and speaking on his mobile phone, two boys suddenly came and snatched his phone before fleeing from the spot. Acting swiftly, the beat staff immediately chased the suspects and successfully apprehended them after a brief pursuit. Upon enquiry, the accused were identified as (1) Sajid @ Aftab S/o Hajrat Ali R/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age 24 years and (2) Sonu @ Kabir S/o Manjor R/o Jahangir Puri, Delhi, Age 24 years. The snatched Redmi Narzo mobile phone was recovered from the possession of accused Sajid.
In this regard a case vide FIR No. 513/25 U/s 304(2)/3(5)/317(2) BNS was registered at PS Adarsh Nagar and investigation was taken up.
Interrogation:-
During sustained interrogation, both accused disclosed that they were roaming in the area with the intention of identifying easy targets for committing snatchings in order to earn quick money. On verification, accused Sonu @ Kabir was found to be a habitual offender with a history of involvement in two previous cases of theft. Similarly, accused Sajid @ Aftab was also found to be a habitual criminal, previously involved in one case of rape.
Further efforts are being made to trace their possible involvement in other cases also.

Details of Accused Person:-
1.    Sajid @ Aftab S/o Hajrat Ali R/o Jhangir Puri Delhi Age 24 years. Previous involvement: - 02 cases of Theft.
2.     Sonu @ Kabir S/o Manjor R/o Jahangir Puri Delhi Age- 24 years Delhi. Previous involvement: - 01 case of Rape.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
