CASE OF NIGHT BURGLARY SOLVED WITHIN 48 HOURS BY THE TEAM OF PP INDERLOK, PS SARAI ROHILLA
• FOUR BURGLARS ARRESTED AFTER THOROUGH ANALYSIS OF CCTV FOOTAGE
• PART OF STOLEN BOOTY AND SHUTTER BREAKING TOOLS RECOVERED
INCIDENT:
On 16.05.2025 at about 07:15 AM, a PCR call regarding burglary in a spare parts shop was received at PS Sarai Rohilla. The local police reached the spot where shutter of one spare parts shop was found damaged. The caller namely Vijay Kumar, r/o Anand Nagar, Inderlok Delhi reported about the theft of 01 mobile phone, a purse and cash Rs. 80,000/- (approx.) from his shop after damaging its shutter. Subsequently, a case vide E-FIR No. 80047840/22 u/s 305/331(4) BNS was registered at PS Sarai Rohilla and the investigation was taken up accordingly.
TEAM, INVESTIGATION & OPERATION:
Immediately, a dedicated police team led by SI Vipin Shokeen (I/C PP Inderlok), comprising ASI Ravinder, Ct Gagan, Ct Umesh and Ct Manjeet was formed under the close supervision of Inspr. Vikas Rana, SHO/PS Sarai Rohilla and guidance of Ms. Vinita Tyagi, officiating ACP/Sub-Division, Sarai Rohilla.
During investigation, the team analyzed CCTV cameras installed at the crime scene in which total 05 persons were seen assembling in front of the shop of complainant, 04 persons uplifted the shutter and 01 person entered the shop. Thereafter, they escape from the spot. The accused were further seen moving towards Inderlok Metro Station in other CCTV cameras of the vicinity. They were followed till Main Road near Shastri Nagar through CCTV cameras where they were seen boarding in a TSR/Auto and going towards Pratap Nagar. After detailed analysis of footage of CCTV cameras on the Main Road from Shastri Nagar to Azad Market, 03 TSR/Autos were shortlisted. One of the auto drivers identified the accused persons and informed that he had dropped them near Takia Kale Khan Masjid on Minto Road. Thereafter, the CCTV cameras near the Masjid on Minto Road were checked and the accused persons were seen entering into the JJ Cluster behind the Masjid.
Following which, local intelligence was collected and the police staff in civvies started keeping a watch over the local residents. On 18.05.2025 during morning hours, the vigilant staff succeeded in apprehending 04 accused persons from their jhuggis. The burglary tools i.e. screw driver, torch and stolen property i.e. one Mobile Phone make Samsung, a Purse containing PAN card of the victim and cash Rs. 5,620/- as well as the clothes worn by them at the time of offence were recovered. The accused persons were identified as 1). Mustaq @ Mustkeen, 2). Murtikul Rehman, 3). Mohd. Rizwan, and 4). Abdul Kalam.
INTERROGATION:
During interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that they are rickshaw pullers and labourers. Two days before the incident, they had reccied the place of occurrence with the help of their accomplice Vishal r/o Darya Ganj. Then, they planned to commit night burglary in the shop. On the intervening night of 15/16.05.2025, they along with their accomplice Shahid @ FM had burgled the shop after uplifting the shutter and escaped after stealing valuables and cash.
Further raids were conducted to nab the remaining accused persons namely Shahid @ FM and Vishal, but both were found absconding. The investigation of the case is in progress and efforts are going on to nab remaining co-accused persons as well as to affect the recovery of remaining case property.
RECOVERY:
1. Burglary tools i.e. Torch & Screw driver.
2. One mobile phone, one Purse containing some bills and PAN card of complainant.
3. Part of stolen money i.e. cash of Rs. 5,620/-
4. Clothes worn by the accused persons at the time of offence.
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS:
1. Mustaq @ Mustkeen, r/o Jhuggi behind Takia Kale Khan Masjid, Minto Road, New Delhi, age 45 years. (He is a rickshaw puller. Previously he was involved in 02 cases of Burglary and Theft of Police Stations Bindapur and Rajouri Garden, Delhi. He was committing crime since last 07 years).
2. Murtikul Rehman, r/o Jhuggi behind Takia Kale Khan Masjid, Minto Road, New Delhi, age 29 years. (He is a rickshaw puller).
3. Mohd. Rizwan, r/o Jhuggi behind Takia Kale Khan Masjid, Minto Road, New Delhi, age 25 years. (He is a daily wage labourer).
4. Abdul Kalam, r/o Jhuggi behind Takia Kale Khan Masjid, Minto Road, New Delhi, age 42 years. (He is a daily wage labourer).
