INCIDENT OVERVIEW:-
In a testament to its unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of illegal immigration control, the Foreigner Cell of North-West District, Delhi Police, successfully apprehended three illegal Bangladeshi immigrants from the Mukherjee Nagar area during the intervening night of July 14-15, 2025. The operation was the culmination of ten days of sustained surveillance, intelligence gathering, and strategic deployment by the dedicated team to ensure the successful arrests.
OPERATION DETAILS:-
Acting on credible intelligence that some Bangladeshi nationals were observed moving suspiciously in the Mukherjee Nagar area during late-night hours, the Foreigner Cell of North-West District, Delhi Police, promptly launched a covert operation. A dedicated team comprising SI Shyam Bir, SI Sapan, ASI Rajender Singh, ASI Vijay, HC Vikram, HC Kapil Kumar, HC Tika Ram, HC Praveen, HC Vikash Yadav, W/HC Seema, W/HC Deepak, Ct. Nishant Mattoo, Ct. Hawa Singh, and Ct. Deepak Bangar was constituted under the close supervision of Insp. Vipin Kumar (Foreigner Cell) and overall supervision of Sh. Rajeev Kumar, ACP/Foreigners Cell.
After apprehending suspects, a detailed verification process was carried out. Their documents were scrutinized, and to confirm their nationality, identity details were sought via their mobile phones from Bangladesh. This process conclusively established that all three were Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in India. During interrogation, it was further revealed that they were engaged in rag-picking and petty theft activities in various parts of the North-West District.
This meticulously planned operation is a testament to the Delhi Police’s commitment to national security and strict enforcement of immigration laws. The apprehended individuals were found to be staying in India without valid travel documents or permits, thereby violating provisions of the Foreigners Act.

RECOVERIES:-
03 IDs & 03 Smart phone installed with the banned IMO app.
Legal proceedings for their deportation are being initiated in coordination with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO). The Delhi Police reiterates its resolve to maintain law and order and to take stringent action against all those found to be residing illegally in the national capital.
