*INCIDENT TEAM AND OPERATION*
On June 21, 2025, a complainant alleged that his e-rickshaw had been stolen by unknown persons from DDU Hospital. Based on the complaint, a case was registered at PS Hari Nagar, and an investigation was initiated. A team led by SI Vikrant Singh, I/C PP Hari Nagar, comprising HC Anand, Ct. Narveer, and Ct. Manoj, was constituted to work on the Motor Vehicle Theft (MVT) case under the close supervision of Insp. Ashu Girotra, SHO/PS Hari Nagar, and overall supervision of Ms. Niraj Tokas, ACP/Rajouri Garden.
During the investigation, the team reviewed CCTV footage from cameras installed near the scene and analyzed routes taken by the accused both, before and after the theft. The accused had taken the same routes 2–3 times to evade detection, left the e-rickshaw 4–5 kilometers away from the spot for 6–7 hours, and then retrieved it. 
Through intensive manual intelligence gathering, the accused was identified as Ravinder Kumar, s/o Vinod Kumar, r/o Baprola Vihar, Delhi, aged 28 years. On June 24, 2025, acting on a tip-off from a secret informer, Ravinder Kumar was apprehended, and the stolen e-rickshaw without its battery was recovered from him. During interrogation, Ravinder disclosed that he had sold the battery to Mohd. Murtaza, who runs a shop in Nangloi, Delhi, for ₹6,000. The stolen battery was subsequently recovered from Murtaza’s shop, and he was arrested. Both accused were taken into custody under the relevant provisions of law. Furthermore, during the investigation, another stolen e-rickshaw was recovered at the instance of accused Ravinder Kumar, which was found to have been stolen from the area of PS Uttam Nagar.
