In alignment with the vision of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer District, for proactive policing and crime prevention, dedicated teams have been mobilized for intensive patrolling and swift response to intelligence inputs.

A specialized unit under the leadership of Inspector Devender Pranav, In-Charge, Anti-Snatching and Anti-Burglary Cell, was constituted to target street crimes/criminals. The team, including HC Ramesh, HC Praveen, Ct. Sushil, and Ct. Abhishek, worked under the direct supervision of Sh. Neki Ram Lamba, ACP/DIU.

🚓 *THE OPERATION: INTELLIGENCE-BASED APPREHENSION*

On 13th July 2025, while patrolling the Nihal Vihar area, the team received reliable input about the presence of a known offender in the vicinity. The police team immediately swung into action and spotted the suspect on a motorcycle. When signaled to stop, he attempted to flee but was swiftly overpowered and detained.

The accused was identified as Vineet @ Lambu, a 24-year-old resident of Nihal Vihar.

Upon verification, the motorcycle he was riding was found to be stolen in connection with e-FIR No. 018683/2025, PS Paschim Vihar West, as per ZIPNET records.

⏭️ *FOLLOW-UP INTERROGATION & FURTHER RECOVERIES*

During sustained interrogation, Vineet disclosed the locations of two more stolen motorcycles, which were subsequently recovered in connection with:

🔹e-FIR No. 001571/2025, PS Nangloi

🔹e-FIR No. 018882/2025, PS Punjabi Bagh

It was also revealed that Vineet is a repeat offender, previously arrested in two separate cases. After being granted bail in April 2025, he was admitted to a drug de-addiction centre in Agra. Unfortunately, within two weeks of his return, he resumed criminal activity.
