The Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Crime Branch has successfully busted a Drug Syndicate involved in the illegal supply of “Cocaine”.

    282 grams of Cocaine (commercial quantity) recovered.
    One Accused person (Nigerian national) has been arrested

    This operation marks a significant step in the ongoing fight against drug trafficking and illegal narcotics trade.
Brief facts: - In a significant operation conducted, the officers of ANTF Crime Branch have successfully arrested one Nigerian national in connection with the possession of 282 grams of Cocaine drugs. On acting on a tip-off, a team from the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Crime Branch conducted a raid in the area Old Mahbir Nagar, Tilak Nagar, Delhi.   During the raid one Nigerian national namely David Leanne was apprehended.   The team successfully busted a Drug Syndicate involved in the illegal supply of Cocaine.  Cocaine 282 grams was recovered from their possession. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 117/2025  was registered under Sections 22(c) of the NDPS Act at Police Station Crime Branch, Delhi.  Further investigation is underway.
INFORMATION, TEAM & OPERATION
As part of the ongoing crackdown on drug traffickers in Delhi, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) of the Crime Branch was actively gathering intelligence in the Dwarka area. ASI Naresh Kumar (No. 141/Crime) was consistently working to track down drug suppliers operating in the region. Dedicated efforts of ASI Naresh become fruitful as he received credible information about a Nigerian national, who was allegedly involved in supplying Cocaine both wholesale and retail across Delhi-NCR.  The suspect was expected to arrive in Ganesh Nagar, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi  to deliver drugs.
Acting swiftly on this information, a team was constituted under the leadership of Inspector Parveen Kumar Rathi, comprising of SI Rajendra Kumar, SI Sukhraj Singh, ASI Kuldeep Singh No.398/Crime, ASI Naresh Kumar No.141/Crime, ASI Satbir Singh No.174/Crime, HC Deepak Parewa No.1234/Crime, HC Vikki No.425/Crime, HC Satyavir No.1265/Crime, HC Naveet No.227/West and W/HC Ruby No. 176/Crime.   The operation was carried out under the close supervision of ACP  Raj Kumar (ANTF, Crime Branch) and overall supervision of undersigned.  
RECOVERY OF MDMA Drug
Acting on the secret information, the ANTF team laid a trap in Mahabir Nagar, , Tilak Nagar, New Delhi  and at the instance of the secret informer, one Nigerian national namely David Leanne identified and was apprehended carrying a carry bag in his hand the same was checked in which a yellow coloured lumpy/powder substance was found. The recovered substance was tested on the spot using a field-testing kit by the FSL team, and it was confirmed to be Cocaine. The weight of the recovered “Cocaine” was found to be 282 Grams which was seized
FURTHER INTERROGATION

On interrogation accused David Leanne disclosed that he works as a carrier in the Drug cartel involved in supply of “cocaine”. He further disclosed that he procured the cocaine from one another Nigerian national namely Leo who met him in the area of Tilak Nagar, Delhi. He came in India in 2015 on medical visa for three months. He entered into the world of drug peddling some six months ago, when one Nigerian national Leo came in his contact as he used to came at his Kitchen and he asked him to collect consignment from him and to deliver the same to the person on the instance of Leo. He collected the consignment of drugs from Leo from area of Tilak Nagar and was waiting on the road to deliver the same to someone who came to him. For the delivery of this consignment, Leo would have to give me Rs. 35000/- to him after the delivery. During search of his rented house, one passport No. 993946810 of Republic of South Africa on the name of David Leanne, Date of Birth 21.04.1976, place of birth South Africa, Date of issue 22.12.2017, date of expiry 21.12.2027. The details of Visa No. VJ6438746 issued on the above Passport wherein the date of issue 04.01.2025 and date of expiry 03.01.2026. On interrogation regarding above mentioned passport, the accused David Leanne revealed that the above passport is fake and he got prepared the above-mentioned passport from a Nigerian national who used to meet him in Tilak Nagar.
During the course of investigation, raids were conducted to nab the source of contraband but he is absconding. 
PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSON –
       David Leanne s/o Alphonso is residing at the address Krishna Puri, Tilak Nagar, New Delhi for last months on rent and he is permanent resident of District-Amube, State Eungu, Nigeria (Age 48 years). He along with his wife and one year old son lives on the above-mentioned address. He came in India in 2015 on medical visa for three months. In 2016 his visa was expired, but he opened a saloon in Mehrauli Market. In the end of 2017, he closed that saloon and opened saloon in the market Road, Tilak Nagar, Delhi. In 2019, he closed that saloon and sifted to Chander Vihar and started working a property agent. Due to Covid pandemic in 2020, he had to shut that property dealer office and sifted to Tilak Nagar and opened an African community kitchen Tilak Nagar. In 2024, he closed the kitchen as it was not running well. He entered into the world of drug peddling some six months ago, when one Nigerian national Leo came in his contact as he used to came at his Kitchen and he asked him to collect consignment from him and to deliver the same to the person on the instance of Leo. 
The investigation is actively on-going to identify and apprehend the co-accused individuals and dismantle the entire illegal drug distribution network.  Efforts are also being made to trace the source of the narcotics and uncover any further links involved.
